I really have appreciated the amazing teaching that I have experienced. The senseis are all very patient and always have a welcoming smile! I always look forward to the class and never like to be late or miss one of them. The class is so friendly, fun and has discipline. This Karate club couldn't be better and it has had a massive impact on my life, like boosting my confidence. Thank you.

I like karate because I like the questions and always try my best on karate. Sometimes I don't get it but as long as I tried it's okay. The instructors are always friendly.

Karate:
• All of the people are very friendly.
• I really like the kata which is all of the moves together.
• It keeps people fit and healthy when we do press-ups and sit-ups.
• Karate helps your confidence.
• I like it when we do the pads and we have to kick them.
• At the end we sometimes do questions.

I enjoy martial arts because the instructors make it fun. It has improved my fitness, self-confidence and self-esteem. I enjoy meeting new people and have made good friends. The best part is taking part in the competitions.

I like karate because if you do well you get to the next belt. And I still like karate because the punches and kicks are great too. And if you get a kick or a punch right in a test you go to the next belt. Also the instructors are very good.
Jacob, aged 7
I like going to karate because I make new friends. I learn all the actions and exercises that the teachers show us. I have lots of fun and I really like my new red belt.

The club is ideal for all ages, with a friendly, relaxed approach to teaching, albeit teaching the students the need for respect and attentiveness when needed. The level and speed of progression through gradings is ideal, giving the younger students that feeling of challenge to meet the next grade without pushing them too much to put them off. Sensei Tickner and the team are very passionate about the club and sport, teaching in a fun and engaging way. Finally, the events organised throughout the year are also exciting and help make students feel part of the club. My son and I look forward to many years at the club, making more friends both young and old!

A couple of years ago I was looking for a friendly family Karate club to attend with my 11yr old Son and 9yr old Daughter. Shinjitsu is perfect because it is a relaxed atmosphere with friendly instructors and other students making you feel welcome. Great to be able to train with my children whilst learning self defence and keeping fit. I would highly recommend this club. ☺

I would like to say that Kayleigh's confidence has improved immensely since she has been learning karate. It is the only activity that she has been committed and dedicated to. The level that Kayleigh has reached so far has not only been achieved by her own determination and willingness to learn, but also the dedicated teaching by the senseis, who are all great teachers. I know that Kayleigh particularly enjoys doing kata and feel that she really has excelled herself in this aspect.
